Unit 047 SD

We were lucky to be able to book this property four weeks in advance. Pros, low density, family friendly, nice pool, awesome courtyard for kids to play & close to the beach. Cons the condo was HOT, hard to sleep at night, possibly since it was on the fourth floor with an upstairs. Older building, unit needs updating.

We did enjoy our stay at Silver Dunes. For an eight day stay, they had planned activities two nights of the week which involved everyone at the property. Families have been coming to this site for 40+ years. Our 13yr old made new friends & we felt very safe letting him roam & play with one another. I will stay here again in another unit closer to the courtyard on the first floor for easier access to things. The beach was private, beautiful & one row of chairs & umbrellas.

We have family that make the trip to Destin and stay in Sikver Dunes every year and have been for years. They always stay in the same units when they come. This was our first time there and I was pleased. The property of the condo was nice and affordable, everything was pretty close together so no long distances from point a to b. The condo was spacious very clean. It was also completely stocked with essentials like toiler paper, dishwasher tabs, garbage bags and other stuff you wouldn’t think to bring. The unit could use some updates for a smoother stay but nothing major. Would definitely stay here again.

The condo was nice , clean and the outside area was very nice. A very family friendly place. The only issue we had with unit 47 was the sliding door in the master bedroom did not slide so we were unable to use the top balcony which was a let down.

Overall our experience was very good. However, the unit is very dated. The kitchen needed new appliances (the door to the fridge kept coming open and the stove was old). The upstairs bathroom also needed updating. They were both small. The location was great and we would stay at Silver Dunes again just in a different unit.

Overall a pleasant experience. Unit 47 was spacious for our family of 5. Silver Dunes was booming with other families and everyone was friendly. We loved being so close to the beach and walking distance from restaurants and other activities. We will come again!

the town house layout was perfect for the 4 of us. two adults and two teen agers. the chairs at the beach were set up everyday and the staff is very attentive and was able to help at every turn.
