The Destin Harbor Association is hosting a "Red, White and Blue Celebration" on Destin Harbor. A local military hero will be honored with a key to the city. The night will culminate with fireworks. Participating Harbor businesses will offer military personnel a discount and there will be a variety of events taking place. 16th Annual Emerald Coast Car Show

Three local car clubs will present the 16th Annual Emerald Coast Car Show on September 6 at Fort Walton Beach High School. The Northwest Florida Model A & T Club, Panhandle Cruisers, and the Playground Corvette Club, in partnership with local businesses host the show every year. More than 300 cars are expected to compete for 1st, 2nd and 3rd-place trophies in each of the 53 classes of vehicles.
